📈 Scaling Your Community

Taking your community from one level to another, or shuffling things up to make it better, requires a clear, compelling USP, a distinct marketing strategy, taking advantage of social media and partnerships and scrutinising community growth.
A few ways to go about it include;
Different events for different members - Know which type of members to segment tokens, leaderboards, badges etc. to. Create experience forums to engage everyone and keep track of feedback.
Leadership - Encourage volunteer-inspired events and let your members take charge of it. A sense of leadership and being involved in the community’s programmes encourages a sense of belonging.
Be seen - Recognise and acknowledge your members on social media. You’re not only identifying with them, their posts or work, you’re also using your members to widen your community’s reach. Win-win, I say.
What for who - Personas are diverse in your community, right? So you should be able to know what group would appreciate swag, visibility, meetups with founders or pitch events.
Timing is everything - Marketing messages should be done with intention and at the right time. Put into consideration when your members are available online and how the message will resonate with them.
Scalability is possible, it only needs intentionality and an almost fail-proof plan.
